Jailbreakers have already been fretting and fuming for accidentally updating to iOS 6.1.3 firmware that wiped out jailbreak from their devices. Much to our rescue, iOS developer Coolstar will be releasing a tool named Semi-Restore very soon. This will come in handy in case you want to restore to your current firmware version if something messes up your idevice. iTunes has just been updated to version 11.0.3 bringing many new features to the block. What we like the most is the new MiniPlayer that has slick interface bundled with basic music controls and plays music along with album art. This version also improves the songs view and includes performance improvements for searching and sorting your music library. Don't worry, iTunes v11.0.3 is fully jailbreak safe and you can sync your jailbroken devices without any issues.

Jay Freeman aka Saurik, the creator of the unofficial jailbreak installer Cydia, has ported Cydia substrate to Android platform which was available for iOS since the last 5 years. As Android is an open source operating system unlike iOS, it will open new avenues for the rooting community to develop jailbreak tweaks and applications. You must have already seen a plethora of concepts of Apple's latest operationg system -- iOS 7 and here's another one by graphic designer Mohamed Kerroudj. It is by far the closest and most original mockup of iOS 7 we have ever seen because it features a much "flatter UI (user interface)" resembling the original iOS 7 which is still under the wraps. The videos of this mockup have already gone viral in the Apple community. This mockup of the highly -anticipated OS surely turns heads by its features like dashboard for widgets and much more.

As we told you, Apple just released the iOS 6.1.4 update only for iPhone 5 without carrying any new features except a new audio profile for speakerphone. Notcom has updated TinyUmbrella tool to version 6.14.00 for saving SHSH blobs on latest iOS 6.1.4 firmware. Just to fututre-proof your device from any kind of hassles, you must save your SHSH blobs for your iPhone 5 now. Although, there is still no working jailbreaking solution for iOS 6.1.4 at the moment.

Call it crazy or whatever, Apple has just released a new iOS 6.1.4 firmware and that too only for the iPhone 5. This firmware bring no new features to your devices except an updated audio profile for the speakerphone and has a petite size of just 11.5 megabytes. As far as availability is concerned, iOS 6.1.4 is available for both the GSM and CDMA variants of iPhone 5 and can be downloaded using OTA (over the air) update in the Settings app. It's a pretty useless sort of an update there's no good reason around to install it on your idevice. If you don't want to use OTA, use the direct download link below.

Finally, some disastrous news for Apple as its flagship tablet iPad has suffered a major setback because of Google's open platform- Android. According to a recent study by IDC, the year-over-year growth of iPad at just 65.3% is not so commendable whereas Samsung and ASUS have a growth of 282.6% and 350% respectively. However, remember that Apple still leads the pack with a major lead above the rest of individual vendors. Moreover, increased demand of the smaller and much-handy iPad mini device skyrocketed Apple's Quarter 1 profits. Take a look at the chart from the aforementioned study below.
