iOS 10.3.1 Jailbreak Gets Help from Security Researcher

Jailbreaking iOS 10.3.1 is already possible even for older firmware, but it will take some time until it is wrapped, packed and released to the public. This is a bittersweet news for all jailbreak users.

A security researcher named Adam Donenfeld informed Apple about eight security bugs that have been fixed with the release of iOS 10.3.2, as part of the company’s efforts to close all loopholes that allow jailbreak. Donenfeld is known for his security conferences, but today comes with a possible jailbreak solution for Apple device’s.

Now the interesting thing is that, he will not release a proper jailbreak tool as we would expect, but one of the exploits, which means that a jailbreak for iOS 10.3.1 could finally happen in the future. Also did not clarify if it will only work on devices running iOS 10.3.2 or just iOS 10.3.1.

Unfortunately, those in a hurry should calm down because the security conference in which Donefeld will reveal the exploit occurs in August. So there is still a long time to wait and not to mention that Apple already released some beta’s for iOS 11.

Today’s announcement is not the only one. Other iOS hackers announcing the exact same thing, a jailbreak solution dedicated to iOS 10.3. However, the highest hopes are from Pangu Team who have recently demonstrated that they can jailbreak iOS 10.3.1.

To make sure you don’t miss a possible jailbreak solution, start by downgrading to iOS 10.3.1 using iTunes and then saving your SHSH blobs. It is recommended to stay on iOS 10.3.1. Once you’ve completed these steps, just relax and wait until the big news is announced.
